4th Annual Blue & Gold Regatta
Host: the Drexel Sailing Team
Organizing Authority: The Blue & Gold Regatta is being hosted by the Drexel
University Sailing Team in conjunction with the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia.
Date and Location: The Blue & Gold Regatta will be held on the Delaware River in the
surrounding waters of Corinthian Yacht Club located at 300 W 2nd St, Essington, PA
19029. The regatta will be held rain or shine on September 24th, 2011.
Rules: The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of
Sailing, 2009 – 2012 Edition (RRS), the prescriptions of the United States Sailing
Association.
Eligibility: The Blue & Gold Regatta is eligible to all family and friends of the Drexel
Sailing Team and their Alumni.
Entries: All eligible competitors must register online via this link, which also can be found in the menu on the right-side of the website. A donation fee of $50.00 is required which will include a BBQ and prizes for the event.
Payment must be completed with a check made out to "Drexel Sailing Team" to:

Registration: Registration will be held on the day of the race at between 9 and 9:30 am,
and specific sailing instruction will be given upon successful registration.
Race Schedule:
9:00 am – Report Time
9:30 am – Skippers Meeting
10:00 am – First Warning
3:00 pm – Last Warning
Scoring and Prizes: The Low Point Scoring System of RRS Appendix A will apply.
There will be no throw-outs. Blue and Gold Trophy will be presented to first place
skipper and crew for their achievements and, of course, the revered Seersucker Jacket.
