This weekend 10/3 - 10/4/09 Jen Mislinski, Clara Engel, Erin MacCausland (A-game), Kelsey Gibbons and Colby Weingarten (B-squad) competed at the Philly Fleet regatta at Cornithian. Saturday was mid 70s, muggy and had absolutely no wind - perfect sailing weather. Needless to say, UPenn called the races - but only after an intense 5 hour sitting session. Sunday faired much better with clear sunny skies and a good breeze. The current was strong and there were lots of puffs near the end of the regatta. Drexel had a strong showing and finished in the top half, morale was strong, spirits were high and songs of praise were sung. An ice cream social capped off a successful sailing experience.
